A joint resolution was moved by Liaquat Agha of the treasury bench and senior leader of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP).
Agha claimed that not enough attention was paid to the initiative to improve the country’s education system whereas the federal government allocates a mere 2% for education.
“The current allocation is not adequate nor will it help to bring revolutionary changes in the education sector,” Agha noted.Zamurak Achakzai chaired the proceedings.
Forensic examination bill
The bill for the establishment of the Balochistan Forensic Science Agency for forensic examination of documents, materials, equipment, impressions or other objects was tabled in the provincial assembly.
It is thes first time that a proper legislation is being introduced to improve the investigation system of the violence-stricken province which frequently witnesses explosions and targeted killings. Forensic Laboratory in Quetta is being established at a cost of Rs30 million.
Information Minister Rahim Ziaratwal presented the bill before the assembly.
