A book highlighting Sindh’s struggle for survival and its leaders’ and their struggle for the Pakistan movement was launched here on Monday.
The book, “Sindh Kahani” by noted researcher and writer Khadim Hussain Soomro, was launched by the Pakistan Intellectual Forum (PIF)’s local chapter. The book is about Sindh’s struggle for survival in the face of an unjust ruling elite and its leaders’ struggle for Pakistan.
Quaid-i-Azam University National Institute of Pakistan Studies former director Dr Haider Sindhi said “the book is a superb blend of history and analysis about the past, present and future of Sindh.”
Preston University Professor Dr Qasim Rind said, it is “a brilliantly researched book in Sindhi language, provides readers with a real picture of Sindh whose leaders played an unparalleled role in the creation of Pakistan.”
Hashim Abro of the PIF said Soomro is a wonderful writer and has written this book with deep insight, coupled with a never failing love for the motherland.
“This book would not have been possible had I not visited the British Library and British Museum and other libraries in and out of Pakistan. The learned readers can be the best judges,” he said.
