A farmer was killed and his wife sustained injuries, in an apparent unfortunate accident in Barnala area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Saturday.
Haji Zaman, 50 was taking a rest along with other members of his family after working in the fields in the village Darrain Barnala Bhimber, when the incident happened.
Zaman’s nephew around 14 years of age who was driving the family’s tractor when accidently the tractor over turned killing the farmer on the spot. Zaman’s wife sustained injuries.
The farmer’s wife was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Mirpur for treatment where her condition is said to be critical.
The body of the deceased farmer was handed over to the bereaved family, who laid him to rest in their ancestral graveyard.
