Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman on Tuesday announced a fresh interim administrative setup for the party wherein all positions would stand dissolved.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday, Imran said a caretaker setup would replace existing positions in the party.

Under the new setup, Imran said, Chaudhary Sarwar will look after the affairs of the party in Punjab while Arif Alvi will resume his responsibilities in Sindh.

Elaborating further on his decision, the PTI chief said a "lack of organisational discipline" in party ranks was evident during cantonment elections. "I intend to reorganise the party ahead of the local government elections in Punjab."

Commenting on the Axact-gate scandal, PTI chairman said an inquiry would reveal facts behind the scam.

He, however, expressed astonishment on the "hue and cry" being raised over the scam as national leaders had been hit by similar scandals without being investigated thoroughly.

Reiterating his respect for the judicial commission investigating election rigging, Imran said he would accept all decisions mades by the commission.

In this particular case, according to the constitution of PTI, the chief has the authority to dissolve it. He did so after Wajihuddin's findings.
Shaikh Mohommad | 8 years ago | Reply I thought PTI is a political party where a working committee makes a decision. I am wrong. Imran Khan is the boss of PTI. It is a party just like MQM where Altaf Hussain is a supremo. Good Luck to you Imran Khan.
