Two police officials killed in Peshawar
Intelligence officials in Peshawar blame Taliban militants for the attack.
PESHAWAR:
Suspected militants gunned down two policemen in Hayatabad on Saturday night, police said.
A police official from Hayatabad police station said the policemen were on patrolling duty at 7.30 pm when a group of unidentified men opened indiscriminate fire. The injured officers were then taken to the Hayatabad Medical Complex, where they died. The victims were identified as Pir Ghulam of Hazarkhwani and Tayyaib Khan of Sulemankhel Badbher.

A source quoting witnesses said the attackers had fled towards Khyber Agency, adding that the exact number of militants could not be ascertained.
