Anwar puts PIA on top
Anwar Ali imposed PIA’s dominance on the second day as he claimed three for 17 to reduce SNGPL to an embarrassing 99 for seven on the second day at the Marghazar Ground in Islamabad. Ali proved unplayable as SNGPL were left reeling after PIA had earlier declared at 401 for nine.
Rawalpindi dominate
Rawalpindi reached 243 for six on the second day after Karachi Blues were bowled out for 248 at the Pindi Stadium. Babar Naeem made 77 for the hosts while Adnan Mufti contributed 50 as Rawalpindi trail by another five runs.
Match hangs in balance
Faisalabad, who made 181 in the first innings, fared better the second time around as they were 150 for four at close on the second day against Islamabad at the Iqbal Stadium.
Earlier, Islamabad were dismissed for 227 as they took a first-innings lead of 46.
Shan hits century
Shan Masood put Wapda’s attack to the sword with his unbeaten century as HBL managed an 11-run lead and reached 250 for three on the second day at the Diamond Ground in Islamabad. Masood hit 13 fours in his 237-ball knock while Saleem Elahi made 69 after Wapda were bowled out for 239 on the first day.
ZTBL rescued
Inamul Haq responded to NBP’s competitive first-innings total of 370 and led ZTBL to an impressive 112 for one on the second day at the Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot.
