KARACHI:

A considerable breakthrough emerged in the political landscape of Sindh province, when president of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General (retd) Pervez Mushrraf  met Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) head Pir Pagara at his residence on Wednesday.

“During the meeting, formation of Muttahida Muslim League to contest upcoming local bodies’ election came under discussion” the source said on the condition of anonymity.

He said that all the leaders agreed to contest the upcoming LB polls after evaluating a coalition with like-minded parties.

“We are not forming Mutthaida Muslim League to destabilize the ruling government or to shape up our government,” said PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat while talking to the media men after the meeting.
