LAHORE: A division bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday reduced the prison terms awarded to two people convicted of throwing acid on a woman. On July 3, 2012, an anti terrorism court had sentenced Nasreen Bano and her son Danish to prison terms of 34 years under the Anti Terrorism Act. They had thrown acid on their relative, Sidra Yasmin, in June 2011 on a family dispute. The victim had lost both her eyes from the injury. Manga Mandi police had arrested the two. They had moved the LHC against the conviction and the sentence.
