The cell was established to disseminate information about local government elections in the province

PESHAWAR: Authorities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa established an election cell at the local government department which will become operational on Tuesday (today).  The cell was established on the directives of the K-P chief secretary to disseminate information about local government elections in the province. Cell in charge Ghulam Hussain Ghazi told The Express Tribune staff will answer people’s queries and complaints regarding any complexity or ambiguity in the elections. Queries can also be addressed through email and social media. “Our staff will reply to queries and complaints within a day,” said Ghazi. He added it would be impossible to listen to all questions over the phone, which is why the cell can be reached through email, Facebook and Twitter.  The timings of the cell will be 9am to 8pm.
