PM Nawaz inaugurates Benazir Bhutto International Airport

The new Taxiway to save as much as Rs.120 million every month for airlines

ISLAMABAD: After the much needed renovation, Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad was inaugurated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday, Radio Pakistan reported. 

The premier was accompanied by Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman at the inauguration of the airport which has been upgraded and renovated at a cost of Rs450 million to provide added facilities for domestic as well as international passengers.

While PM Nawaz visited various departments of the airport, it was revealed that the new facilities not only include Delta Taxi Track, Fast-Track Building, Business Class Fast-Tack and Business Class Lounge, but also increased counters for passengers along with a larger parking space.

Further, with the new Taxiway, as much as Rs.120 million is likely to be saved every month for airlines.

A detailed briefing on the upgrade and renovation of the airport was give to PM Nawaz by his advisor on Aviation, Shujaat Azeem.
