The 28-year-old, who climbed up from 70th in round one to 14th in round three before finishing on 47th in the last round, said that he did not worry much about his standings and instead focused on performing better in every round.
“I played the nest actually from the previous days but the course did not favour me and I putted really badly at the 18th hole,” Amin told The Express Tribune from Korea. “However, I think I performed well and finished at an acceptable position. I am not really worried about my position right now. The game was solid today and the next event will be better.”
Amin will next feature in the one billion Korean Won event, SK Telecom Open, which will commence on May 21 and will be played over four days at the Sky 72 Ocean Course in Incheon, South Korea.
Meanwhile, South Korea’s Moon Kyong-Jun notched up his first career victory to claim the GS Caltex Maekyung Open, despite a heart-stopping bout of the jitters on the final hole.
