A ceremony in this regard was held at the Children’s Library Complex on Thursday.PEF Managing Director Dr Aneela Salman, programme directors, subject specialists and heads of schools attended the ceremony.
“Under the programme, 38 subject specialists will be attached with 110 selected schools, including 18 schools in Lahore. These subject specialists will work as monitors, facilitators and trainers (MFT) so that the deficient schools can get rid of their weaknesses and improve overall academic standards,” Aneela Salman said. “Students are our greatest asset. It is our joint responsibility to work for their welfare by providing them good education that will help them excel in practical life. This will produce talented leadership to steer the country towards prosperity and development,” she said.
Under the programme, 110 partner schools from 21 districts, including Lahore, have been short-listed and offered to join the SIP. These schools will be provided subject specialists who will help improve the quality standards. The PEF MD said that provision of quality education was their primary focus of the foundation. “Various steps have been taken to achieve that goal. The PEF is playing an important role in achieving the objective of Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab. The foundation has introduced several interventions to help private partners extend quality education to students,” she said.
