In custody: CTD arrests terrorist from Badhaber
Ilyas Masih, a resident of Sialkot, allegedly kidnapped Sara and Umara from Christian Colony in Tehkal
PESHAWAR:
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested a terrorist identified as Abdul Ghafoor, from Badhaber, said an official of the department on Wednesday. The suspect is a resident of Bara in Khyber Agency and is said to be involved in the 2013 Madrassah Ariful Hussaini suicide attack. Ghafoor alias Ahmad told CTD during interrogation that he was a member of the banned outfit which planned and carried out the madrassa attack. The devastating bombing in the jurisdiction of Chamkani police station left 11 people dead and more than 30 injured in 2013. The suspect was arrested a few days ago after an exchange of fire with the CTD, said the official. After interrogation, he was sent to Central Prison Peshawar. Meanwhile, Ilyas Masih, a resident of Sialkot, allegedly kidnapped Sara and Umara from Christian Colony in Tehkal.
