Asian snooker event: Six-member team announced

The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) has announced a six-member contingent to participate in the 3rd Asian Team Event and 4th 6-Red Snooker Championships, which will be played from May 24-31 in Kish Island, Iran.


The players include current Asian champion Hamza Akbar, former IBSF World and Asian 6-Red champion Muhammad Asif, former IBSF World Team Champion Muhammad Sajjad and Shahram Changezi. Shabbir Hussain and Naveed Kapadia will travel in the capacity of referees. The training camp commenced from Tuesday at the NBP Sports Complex.


Meanwhile, a PBSA press release conveyed the imminent arrival of IBSF Vice President Maxime Cassis to Karachi for a two-day visit to inspect the venue for the forthcoming 2015 IBSF World 6-Red & Teams Championship.
