Area of focus: Steps for Gwadar rail link-up

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways is focusing on connecting Gwadar Port with a rail network and establishing new dry port at Havelian to generate revenues. The government is committed to make Pakistan Railways a profitable organisation and a number of steps are being taken in this regard, an official in the railways ministry told APP. Pakistan Railways is involving private parties in commercial management of four passenger carrying trains and cargo express trains, he added.
