The Bhutto scion completed his undergraduate from Oxford – continuing the heritage of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and mother Benazir Bhutto.

His father, former president Asif Ali Zardari tweeted his congratulations, noting that by graduating with an MA from Oxford, the Bhutto scion had followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and mother Benazir.

Soon after his undergraduate, Bilawal was named chairperson of country’s oldest dynastic party – the PPP.

Through the years, Bilawal was groomed to take over the party. However, he has not been seen recently and is said to be residing in London.

The PPP co-chairperson did not attend the 36th death anniversary of his grandfather Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bux on April 4.

Reports of differences between Bilawal and his father former president Asif Ali Zardari surfaced in the media, suggesting that the two did not agree over party matters.

However, both leaders, as well as their party, have rubbished the rumours, saying it is just a hype created by the media.

Ricky | 9 years ago | Reply @Inner: It is not just Bilawal but the five kids of great IK and his new wife are living in the West on other people’s money. From Mr. Jinnah to most of our leaders have been educated in the West and we have accepted them whole heartedly. In addition we have political party leaders for lifetime with dictatorial powers and ownership of their parties. Forget about the backwardness of Thar and Baluchistan the most educated middleclass urbanites are ruled by the UK. In this background Bilawal has been forced in politics by his mother’s assassination to keep the party intact. He has never showed any interest in politics prior to that just like BB was not in politics but due to her father’s overthrow and hanging by a fanatic dictator. Bilawal should be held responsible for hundreds of years of backwardness of Thar and Baluchistan but only after he has govt and power not when a student and just a figurehead. While Mrs. IK makes big statements about women and fairness, women in KPK were not even allowed to vote in recent by-election under PTI/JI govt of new Pakistan.
Inner | 9 years ago | Reply @Mirza: It is nice Mr Bilawar is getting an MA degree from Oxford, mean while the province his party is ruling right now, does not even have schools for primary education. That is the ironic contrast that people want to point out. Not that anyone is "jealous" of him. Sindh is notorious for its elected representatives to keep its vote bank intentionally illiterate so they do not rebel, by electing someone else. People in Sindh are dying of lack of drinkable water and depend on the charities of people from other provinces, to survive another day. But it does not stop the people of Sindh to vote for PPP. Compare the leaders of Sindh to North Korea's Kim Jon Un, and think for a moment, who is better?
