Two killed, 19 injured in separate accidents in Charsadda and Swabi

Both the incidents took place due to the carelessness of the drivers, says the police

SWABI/CHARSADDA: Two men were killed and 19 others were injured in two separate road accidents in Swabi and Charsadda districts on Friday.

In the first incident, a man was killed and 11 others were injured when the mini-bus they were travelling in overturned near Natyan check post in Parmoli Tehsil of Swabi while travelling to Pir Baba Shrine in Buner from Mardan.

An official of Parmoli police station said that the bus driver lost control over the vehicle near the Natyan check post due to over-speeding.

As result, the bus over turned.

Sher Muhammad, a resident of Mardan, died on spot while 11 others including a minor and driver were injured, said the police official.

Nearby residents and police officials rushed the injured to Rustam and Mardan hospital for treatment.

In another incident, a man died and eight others, including a woman, were injured when two vehicles collided with one another near the Charsadda Motorway Interchange.

An official of Charsadda police said that a convoy of vehicles were heading to to attend a wedding ceremony when two vehicles collided.

A police report stated that the incident took place due to the carelessness of the drivers.

The deceased, Abbas Ali, died on spot while eight other including women were injured and rushed to the DHQ Hospital in Charsadda.

Police registered FIRs of both the incidents.
