RAWALPINDI: Custom intelligence's joint investigation team filed a petition against supermodel Ayyan Ali, seeking registration of a fresh case in a customs court in Rawalpindi, Express News reported on Friday.

Ayyan was arrested by customs officials on March 14 from the Islamabad airport after over $500,000 undeclared cash was found in her baggage.

The petitioner said the custom authorities should be allowed to arrest the supermodel and carry out an investigation.

Meanwhile, the customs' investigation team once again failed to submit a complete challan against the supermodel in a banking court in Rawalpindi.

Ayyan's counsel, Sardar Ishaq, argued that an investigation team is bound to produce complete challan within 15 days of commencement.

Judge Sabir Sultan adjourned the hearing of the ongoing case till May 18 and ordered the team to provide the relevant documents in the next hearing.

On April 25, the investigators probing money laundering charges against Ayyan had submitted an interim charge-sheet in court and included two new suspects for interrogation.

User | 9 years ago | Reply In Ayyan's case all evidences are against the supermodel as her changed statements, if she is a facilitator than what, every criminal is a facilitator to his/her master. I am surprised to see that the way she appears in court as she is going for a show. Now its the responsibility of prosecution to bring the real culprit into court of justice. The question arises here how she is enjoying every facility in jail and if so than these facilities should be provided to other inmates also it seems there is a parallel system one for elite class and other for general or poor people (what a justice). As I think Ayyan is only a scapegoat and sooner or later the investigation would reveal each & everything very clearly the investigators should also investigate to know how and when she deleted her cellular data when she was in custody. Secondly the authorities also investigate the person who was present at the time of Ayyan's departure to facilitate her at airport.
