On Wednesday, security forces thwarted two suicide bombers as they tried to storm a school playground where a football match was being played. When one of the attackers blew himself up after being stopped, the other opened fire at the security personnel who killed the second attacker.
Siraj Hussain, an employee of health department, and Hamid Hussain, a shopkeeper, were killed in the attack which also injured two others.

When Hamid’s brother Rahmat Hussain was killed by militants a couple of months ago, he started to look after his brother's two children along with four kids of his own. But on Wednesday, he too became a victim.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, through his Political Agent Amjad Ali Khan, while announcing compensation for heirs of the two victims, said that their children will receive free education along with monthly stipends from the administration's funds.
Reward for Levies personnel
The government announced Rs500,000 cash as reward for the Levies personnel who had managed to stop a bigger tragedy from taking place. Compensation for the heirs of the victims was also announced.

Commandant Kurram Militia and Thall scouts, also, announced Rs100,000 reward for the each of the Levies personnel.
MNA from the Agency Sajid Hussain also appreciated the bravery and the heroic role in foiling of terrorist attack.
A number of leading tribal elders, including Professor Zafar Ali, Imtiaz Hussain, Said Kamal, Zamin Ali and Malik Aqeel Hussain praised the commendable job by tribesmen in helping Levies stop the terrorists from entering the playground and saved hundreds of lives.
