PESHAWAR: The three-day-long Digital Youth Summit 2015 will kick off in Peshawar on Thursday (today). Chief Minister Pervez Khattak will inaugurate the event.

The digital summit has been organised by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board in collaboration with World Bank, Peshawar 2.0 and other partner organisations.

“The main objective of the conference is to bring together the next generation of digital innovators to K-P, with a primary focus on technology entrepreneurship,” said a handout issued by the directorate of information.

It added the use of technology for social and civil innovations, online work, and freelancing would be the main topics of discussion. The summit will provide a platform for IT innovators and entrepreneurs to network and then share ideas with the public—youth in particular—about the technology entrepreneurship and online employment as a potential alternative to traditional jobs.
