Wajih | 8 years ago | Reply It is a good move to invite him. Though tiny, Maldives is stratgeicaly very important country. Presently Indian realtions with Male are under stress due to political situation in Maldives as well as Indian concerns about Maldives-China relations. Indian Prime Minister had dropped Maldive from its intenrary in March at the last momemnt. During the trip he had visited all Indian ocean island nations including Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Seychelles. Pakistan should improve its relations with the country which has almost 100% Muslim population.
