The clinic at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is being named after Dr Sundus Qureishi
KARACHI:
Members of the 12th Civil Services Academy Commoners have constituted a MediBank Trust to provide free medicines to needy patients. The project, spearheaded in Sindh by Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui, will also provide free clinics at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Civil hospital and Pakistan Railway Hospital. Each clinic will be named after a deceased loved one. The clinic at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is being named after Dr Sundus Qureishi, a member of the CSA commoners while the JPMC clinic was dedicated to Siddiqui’s late wife. Javed Nisar Syed, a senior civil servant and founder of the MediBank project said it was already underway in different cities of the country. Siddiqui said the project has recently been initiated in Sindh and will soon be established in other parts of the province too.
