Navy claim nervy win against KPT
Pakistan Navy cruised to 1-0 win over KPT as PAF thrash KESC 2-0 in Pakistan Premier League.
Pakistan Navy cruised to a 1-0 win over Karachi Port Trust (KPT) as Pakistan Air Force (Paf) thrashed KESC 2-0 in the Pakistan Premier League.
KPT seemed to be the dominant force in the match despite missing their key players including Muhammad bin Younus, Naveed Ahmed and captain Ahkrae Mamil. They had better possession but an array of lost opportunities by Muhammad Waseem and Shahid Salim in the first half cost them the win.
Superb performance by goal-keeper Ishaq Ahmed and a goal by left-winger Asif Bakhsh in the 25th minute tilted the match in Navy’s favour. Bakhsh cut in from left flank, paving his way through three tackles and swept the ball past Ehsanullah.
In the match between KESC and Paf, winger Muhmmad Zeeshan scored in the 43rd and the 54th minute, raising his tally to six as well as handing his side their 10th win.
