Sportsmen spirit: Journalists from Bahrain expected today

A seven-member delegation of sports journalists from Bahrain will reach the city on Sunday

PESHAWAR: A seven-member delegation of sports journalists from Bahrain will reach the city on Sunday (today) for a five-day long-visit on the invitation of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation and Malik Saad Memorial Sports Trust. The visit is aimed at strengthening relations between sports writers and journalists of both countries. A memorandum of understanding will also be signed, according to which a delegation from Pakistan will visit the kingdom. The visiting Bahraini delegation will be headed by Asian Sports Press Union Deputy Secretary and the Bahrain Sports Media Committee President Muhammad Qasim. Besides Peshawar, the delegation will also go to Islamabad and Lahore and visit different sports-related and historical places in Pakistan during their visit.  The K-P culture department will also arrange a cultural show in honour of the guests. The group will also meet a three-member sports writers’ delegation from Afghanistan and another from Fata. The delegation will be briefed  about sports activities in the region.
