Nasir took just 15 minutes to complete an 11-4, 11-1, 11-5 rout of Suwaris and will now take on Malaysia’s Ivan Yuen for a place in the last-four.
Meanwhile, Farhan Zaman also won in emphatic fashion as he thrashed Iran’s Muhammad Reza Sadegh in straight games to win with a scoreline of 11-8, 11-3 and 11-5. He will now take on India’s Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu in the quarter-finals.
In another match, Tayyab Aslam defeated Iran’s Hasanain Dakheel 3-1, and has one of the toughest matches in the quarter-finals, as he faces home favourite Abdullah Al-Mezayen, who is seeded third.
Danish Atlas Khan thumped Kuwait’s Salem Mohammad 11-8, 11-2 and 11-6 and will be up against second seed Saurav Ghoshal of India.
