Safe drinking water: ‘9 filtration plants to be set up in RYK’

Rahim Yar Khan DCO Syed Tariq Mehmood Bukhari said on Thursday the government had prioritised provision of safe water and was setting up nine filtration plants across the district for this purpose.


He was talking to a delegation of trade organisations.


He said water filtration plants would be set up near the district court, Allama Iqbal Library, government girls colleges, Jugnoo Chowk and the general bus stand.


He said the filtration plant installed near Eidgah would be made operational soon.


The DCO said a 1.25 kilometre underground pipeline was being laid to upgrade the district’s sewer system.
