Conflict of interest bill: Amendments to law finalized

The meeting unanimously agreed to finalise the amendments

PESHAWAR: The provincial assembly’s select committee has finalised amendments in the draft bill of the K-P Prevention of Conflict of Interest Act 2014. A handout issued here on Thursday said a meeting of the select committee was held at the Assembly Secretariat with K-P Chief Minister and Chairman of the Committee, Pervez Khattak, in chair. Besides others, the meeting was also attended by Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Industries Abdul Munim, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Corruption Dr Haider Ali, MPAs Sikandar Sherpao, Sardar Hussain Babak, Munawar Khan as well as the secretaries for law, establishment and assembly. The meeting discussed the amendments proposed by the core group of the committee and unanimously agreed to finalise them.
