Consumer court: Notice issued over coat

LAHORE: A consumer court issued a notice to a proprietor on Tuesday in a suit seeking Rs300,000 damages for stitching an ill-fitting suit. Petitioner Muhammad Azhar told the court that he had gone to Saeed Tailors in Samanabad area to have a coat stitched. He said the tailor had promised to deliver the coat in a week. Mazhar said he had found the coat to be improperly stitched. He said the tailor had refused to allay his concerns after initially asking for more time. He asked the court to direct the tailor to pay him Rs300,000 damages for substandard stitching.
