The newly released trailer tells the viewer more about the emotions in the film - from greed, passion, love, anger, it's all there and it gives you an instant 60s Hindi cinema feel. The retro look and feel that was severely amped up in the first trailer is a bit more subtle in this one, with a mellow background score that builds up to a dramatic one.
There's an underlying sense of mystery in this trailer that the previous one just missed the mark with.
"I think it's been the best experience of my life being directed by Anurag Kashyap... from a man that we began to hate which ultimately ended in love. It's been quite a journey for me it was like going to film school," Karan Johar said about working in the film.
Ranbir Kapoor chimed in about the setting of Bombay Velvet, "This film starts in 50s and 60s and there were superficial references when it comes to preparation. I feel the technical side of research was difficult. We were transported in the world of 50s when we came on to the sets."
KJo was quite excited about the release of the film and tweeted the moment:

Rishi Kapoor also shouted his support for the trailer on Twitter:
