Shia killing? Shopkeeper shot dead in Peshawar

Abid, a Shia, was shot multiple times and died before he reached the hospital

PESHAWAR: Unidentified armed men shot dead shopkeeper Abid Hassan Qazalbash, in Pipal Mandi area of Peshawar on Monday night.

Abid, a Shia, received multiple bullets and was rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). But he died before reaching the hospital.

“He was hit in the head, chest and throat and the attackers managed to escape after committing the cold blood murder,” said a police official while talking to The Express Tribune

The official added that the man had been elected as a councilor twice in the past and was a resident of Mahalla Marwiha inside the old walled city.

An FIR for his murder was yet to be registered.
