LAHORE: An election tribunal on Monday reserved till April 30 its verdict in a petition accusing PML-N’s Khawaja Saad Rafique of rigging the 2013 election in NA-125 and cancellation of a notification declaring Rafique as the winner from the constituency. Muhammad Hussain, counsel for petitioner Hamid Khan, earlier requested the tribunal to set aside the notification and order a re-election in the constituency. Barrister Umar, counsel for Rafique, responded that the petition was not maintainable as affidavits attached with it were not properly verified. He said the petitioner had failed to present any evidence to substantiate his allegations against his client. He requested the tribunal to dismiss the petition.
