ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has razed a number of illegally-built structures as part of a drive against encroachments.

CDA’s Directorate of Enforcement carried out an operation in Muslim Colony area of Bari Imam and demolished six shops which were illegally constructed on public land. Another illegally-built wall by a private school in Mohala Dhakki was also demolished.

During another operation in Sector I-9/4, the enforcement staff removed poles which had encroached on public land.

Similarly, upon the request of IMCG I-8/3 principal and in light of prevailing security issues, the civic agency demolished 15 dwellings constructed illegally on land adjacent to the college.

Earlier, building control officials stopped construction work at Safa Gold Mall in F-7 due to violation of approved layout plan of the plaza.
