Voting will begin at 8am. It will continue until 5pm without a break. The boards have been divided into 10 wards each.
In Lahore Cantonment, there are 39 polling stations each for men and women and 19 for both men and women. In Walton Cantonment, 104 polling stations have been set up for men and 98 for women.
The Election Commission has issued a code of conduct prohibiting candidates and their supporters from canvassing voters within 200 metres of a polling booth. The rules prohibit them from displaying party symbols or posters within 100 metres of a polling station without the permission of the returning officer concerned. Polling agents may, however, display their symbols in designated areas.
Candidates are not allowed to hold rallies and make announcements. They were allowed campaigning until April 23. The Election Commission has asked polling agents to wear badges and carry their authority letters.
Candidates and supporters have been barred from carrying weapons.
