Tragic deaths: Ten killed in separate accidents

Seven out of the nine passengers were killed in the first gruesome incident

SHANGLA: At least 10 people were killed and five others were injured in separate road accidents in Shangla district on Friday. According to the police, a government-owned vehicle was en route from Besham to Dobair in Kohistan when the driver lost control and the car fell into a ravine at Monjee. Seven out of the nine passengers were killed. The injured were rushed to a hospital where one of them succumbed to injuries. Of the eight who died, five, including a woman, were of the same family. Meanwhile, another vehicle, en route from Marthoong to Buner, plunged into a ravine in Dana Kool. Two of the passengers died on the spot while four others were injured. The accused driver was able to flee after surviving the accident. The injured were rushed to Marthoong Rural Health Centre and Besham Civil Hospital.
