Developing agriculture: Kabul to replicate UAF model

Afghan envoy also called for deepening ties between the two countries in agriculture and education sector

Afghanistan Ambassador Janan Mosazai has said his country would work to replicate the model of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) to boost the agriculture sector of Afghanistan.


Speaking at a gathering at the UAF on Thursday, the ambassador said the agriculture sector was one of the top priorities of Afghanistan. He also called for deepening ties between the two countries in agriculture and education for regional stability and development.


He said Afghanistan looked forward to working with the UAF to strengthen academic and research ties with Afghan institutions for developing the agriculture sector.


He praised the UAF for becoming the first-ever Pakistani educational institution being ranked among top 100 universities of the globe.


Mosazai said the student exchange plan would also create a new link between the two countries that would strengthen existing bonds.
