KARACHI:

The police submitted a charge sheet to an anti-terrorism court on Thursday against alleged target killer, Ubaid Khursheed alias K2, in a decade-old murder case of central prison deputy superintendent Amanullah Khan Niazi.

Niazi, along with five others, was gunned down in June, 2006, in Saddar.

Khursheed, a Muttahida Qaumi Movement worker, was a proclaimed offender in the case. He was arrested during the raid at Nine Zero.

The supplementary challan submitted to the ATC-IX stated that Khursheed was one of a dozen assailants who ambushed Niazi's convoy near the Mobile Market. The investigation report quoted him revealing the attack plot. Niazi, he said, was killed on the orders of Saeed alias Bharam.
