QUETTA: Commissioner Quetta Qamber Dashti and coordinator Emergency Operation Center (EOC) Dr Saifur Rehman decided on Tuesday to personally monitor the Permanent Transit Points (PTP) along the bordering towns near Afghanistan and tribal areas in Balochistan. Dr Rehman and N-Stop Officer Balochistan Dr Aftab Kakar held a meeting with Commissioner Quetta Division Dashti at his office, where they deliberated the performance of the vaccinators and health workers at permanent transit points. “Legal and strict action would be taken against officials and vaccinators if they are found negligent or their performances are found not up to the mark,” it was decided in the rare meeting, which focused on anti-polio campaigns in Quetta block, comprising Quetta, Qila Abdullah and Pishin.
