Acquiring assets: NAB arrests former revenue officer

During his career in the revenue department, the accused allegedly accumulated assets illegally.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has arrested former Mansehra district revenue officer Latifur Rehman on charges of embezzlement, stated a press release issued on Tuesday.


Rehman is currently posted as programme manager in Provincial Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority’s District Reconstruction Unit Shangla.

According to the press release, during his career in the revenue department, the accused allegedly accumulated assets illegally. NAB K-P conducted an investigation and found substantial evidence against him, following which he was arrested, it read.

During the course of the enquiry, it was revealed that Rehman acquired a bungalow in Habibullah Colony, Abbottabad, a plot in Regi area of the provincial capital and another commercial plot in Azakhel, Nowshera. The accused will be produced before an accountability court to obtain his physical remand.
