Security forces successfully repelled attack on Air Traffic Control Radar in Pasni

QUETTA: Security forces averted a major disaster late on Monday when they repelled terrorist attack on Air Traffic Control Radar in Pasni.

According to details, a group of militants attacked the air traffic control radar in Pasni in an attempt to destroy the system. However, the Airport Security Forces (ASF) personnel deputed at the site immediately responded, preventing the militants from inflicting any major damage. Soon contingents of Frontier Corps and Coast Guards also reached the site.

“The radar is safe,” said Qazi Maqbool General Manager Civil Aviation Authority South, adding that no casualty was reported so far in the attack.

During the attack militants used automatic weapons and fired rockets in an attempt to destroy the facility, said security official adding that none of rockets fired could hit the target.

Humza | 8 years ago | Reply Great to see security forces bringing back law and order. The criminals and cowards on foreign payrolls who attack civilians seem to be more desperate.
