Pesco Chief Executive Syed Hassan Fazil said all out efforts would be made to cut losses and provide better facilities to consumers. He gave a comprehensive presentation during the utility’s 97th Board of Directors meeting at Wapda House, according to a handout issued on Monday.
Pesco BoD Chairman Malik Muhammad Asad Khan presided over the meeting. He said every effort was being made to reduce line losses and increase recovery.
The board also reviewed the process of appointments and chalked out rules and regulations. The directors said all appointments must be made purely on merit. The board instructed the management to ensure that the district quota was followed so that nobody is deprived of his or her right.
It issued strict orders to take action against any official involved in corruption. The board also approved the purchase of 132/220 KV towers, 850 distribution transformers of different categories and 1,500 Nos HT structures. It approved of “important steps to resolve consumer complaints at their doorsteps.”
