Around 20 people were also injured in the accident. Authorities shifted the victims to the nearby hospitals.
According to initial reports, the accident took place due to the bus' high speed. However, an official reason is yet to be confirmed.
On April 18, an accident on the fatal 136-kilometre stretch of the Indus Highway between Jamshoro and Sehwan, also claimed five lives and left five others, including a woman and her three children, injured.

Meanwhile, a man was killed in a road accident at National Highway near Mirpur Mathelo Bypass in Sukkur on April 13.
