The Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) has drawn the attention of the top accountability authority towards a number of complaints on the allegation of corruption committed by officials in the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
In a letter to the director general National Accountability Bureau, Karachi the anti-graft watchdog refers to the complaint forwarded on December 30, 2014 and another on the same alleged fraud on March 28 about the KMC of illegal selling/allotment of 245 acres playground. Another complaint accuses Secretary Land Utilisation Javed Hanif of fraudulently acquiring six KMC plots of 4,000 sq-yd each in Landhi.
Subsequently, TIP has urged NAB to examine the complaint and take notice of these allegations.
