A Pakistan Peoples Party statement issued on Thursday stated that Aseefa resolved to raise awareness regarding the debilitating disease and to reach across party boundaries to strengthen advocacy for polio eradication.

Earlier, she was briefed on the polio situation and met Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, the polio cell chairperson, provincial coordinator for polio and secretary health.

“While it’s important to address polio campaigns, it’s also import to address polio victims,” Aseefa tweeted later, highlighting that Rotary has been working towards this goal. “Packages for polio victims that Rotary provides include physiotherapy, surgery and rehabilitation.”
