Pilot unharmed as PAF Mirage aircraft crashes near Somyani

SOMYANI:
A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft on a routine operational training mission on Thursday afternoon crashed near Somyani in Balochistan.
Initial reports have not stated the reason for the crash but have revealed that the pilot remained unharmed as he safely ejected from the aircraft.
No loss of life or damage to property was reported on the ground.
A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Force Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.

In another crash early last month, a Mirage aircraft crashed in the Miran area of D I Khan district.

Both the pilot and the co-pilot died in the crash and their bodies had been mutilated beyond recognition.
