LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed the Punjab election commissioner to decide within two days applications seeking action against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf for withdrawing the petitioners’ tickets after they had filed their nomination papers for the upcoming Cantonment Board local elections in the province.  Petitioners Sajjad Hussain Kharal and others had submitted that they filed their nomination papers as PTI ticket-holders. However, they said, the party withdrew their tickets before the issuance of the final list of candidates by the ECP. They said this  was a violation of election rules and requested the court to direct the ECP to take action against the PTI.
