Death anniversary: Pakistani scientist honored

KARACHI: Leading Pakistani scientist and founding director of the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi (KU), Prof Dr Saleemuz Zaman Siddiqui, was remembered on his 21st death anniversary by the patron-in-chief of the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences, Prof Dr Attaur Rahman. Dr Siddiqui was a founding member of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, chairperson of the drafting committee of the Pakistan Science Commission, and the chairperson of the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology. Dr Siddiqui passed away on April 14, 1994, at the age of 97.
