Pre-budget seminar: Officials to share proposals in Faisalabad
The participants will share their proposals and perspectives on the forthcoming federal budget
FAISALABAD:
A pre-budget seminar would be organised in Faisalabad on April 15, 2015, which would see the participation of officials from the government and private sector, including tax experts and professionals. The participants will share their proposals and perspectives on the forthcoming federal budget to be announced in June this year. The selection of Faisalabad is to highlight and project the significance of this second largest industrial city of Pakistan, which contributes around $45 billion to the national GDP. The seminar is expected to be participated by heads of different industry associations and directors of Faisalabad-based manufacturers and exporters representing textile, leather, tanning, sports goods companies. The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) will provide ideas with regard to generating tax revenue for the government and provide insights on economic considerations that need to be considered before setting revenue targets for next year.
