Land dispute: Three injured in knife attack

Iqbal said he has a long-standing property dispute with his cousins

Three people, including The Express Tribune staffer Muhammad Iqbal, were injured when Sarfaraz, Rafiq, Ayaz and their accomplices allegedly attacked them in Ijazabad, in the jurisdiction of Gulbahar police station, on Monday. Iqbal said he has a long-standing property dispute with his cousins and the case is pending at a civil court. “The AC visited the disputed property for inspection on Monday,” he said, adding as soon as the official left, nine people launched an assault on him and two others, Munsif Shah and Osman. “My friends were stabbed injured by the accused, he said, adding they were rushed to Khyber Teaching Hospital. When contacted, Gulbahar police said they are yet to receive the medical report from the hospital, adding FIRs will be launched by both the rival groups.
