Employees of the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited protested against the company’s MD Arif Hameed Bhatti on Monday.
After boycotting routine work, protesters took to the streets, chanting slogans against Bhatti for sacking employees without reason and preparing ground for the company’s privitisation. Workers blocked the Karakoram Highway and demanded Bhatti’s removal from service, threatening to self-immolate if their concerns are not addressed.
