The announcement was made during a conference at the Chief Minister House Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in honour of Peshawar's street children in Peshawar. The conference, titled State Children Declaration and Roadmap, also discussed ways to protect children against all forms of violence in Peshawar and to give them their basic rights.
Reham stated that it had always been her passion to do something for children on the streets of Pakistan as they are not only the State’s responsibility but also each individual’s. She said these children are State children, not street children.

Gift from Altaf Hussain

She informed that she did not receive any gift from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM); however, added that if MQM chief Altaf Hussain wanted to gift something, he should better gift it to Shaukat Khanam Hospital Peshawar or the street children.
